This policy explains how personal data is handled when you use Paw Champions, visit pawchampions.com, or contact support.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Tomas Tichota operates Paw Champions and is the controller of the personal data processed for the game and its support services.
Postal contact: Pod Jarovem 2897/14, Praha 3, 130 00, Czech Republic.
Privacy and support contact: [email protected].
2. Data processed and where it comes from
Account and sign-in data: identifiers associated with your Apple or Google sign-in and your Supabase account, email address where supplied (including an Apple private relay address), and authentication/session information. Depending on the provider's response, sign-in profile metadata may also be received. Apple and Google handle your credentials under their own terms; the game does not ask you for your Apple or Google password.
Player profile and gameplay: your chosen player name and avatar, assigned player number, account creation date, dog collection, skills, level, experience, energy, virtual currency balances, rewards, shop offers, purchases made with game currency, and related transaction identifiers and timestamps. These records are linked to your game account.
Device storage: the app stores its sign-in session and music/sound-effect preferences locally so you can remain signed in and keep your settings.
Technical records: hosting and authentication services process request and security information needed to deliver and protect the service. This can include IP addresses, request times, authentication events and error information. These records are distinct from advertising or behavioural analytics.
Support and deletion requests: your email address, the contents of your message or web request, information needed to identify and verify the relevant account, and correspondence about resolving the request. Please do not send passwords, identity documents, or unnecessary sensitive information.
The current game has no advertising, paid purchases or subscriptions. It does not request precise device location, advertising identifiers or biometric data. It does not collect payment-card details. The game uses preset avatars rather than requesting player-uploaded photos.
3. Why data is processed
Providing the game: account authentication, saving and restoring progress, maintaining your profile and providing the requested gameplay service rely on necessity for performance of the contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Service security and technical operation: protecting accounts, preventing misuse and duplicate transactions, investigating faults and maintaining reliable services rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), where those interests are not overridden by your rights. The interests are the safe and reliable operation of Paw Champions.
Support: responding to gameplay or account questions relies on contractual necessity where needed to provide the service; other routine correspondence relies on the legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Handling GDPR rights requests relies on compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
Specific legal obligations and claims: information may be processed where a particular law requires it, or where necessary for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims. The applicable bases are legal obligation or legitimate interests, as appropriate to the actual purpose. These are not grounds for keeping all account data indefinitely.
Account identifiers and core gameplay records are needed to provide the online account-based game. Without them, an account cannot be provided. Contact information is needed to respond to support requests. Optional information need not be supplied.
4. Providers and recipients
Supabase provides authentication, database and backend infrastructure. The primary game database is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany (eu-central-1).
Netlify hosts pawchampions.com. Cloudflare Email Routing forwards support messages, and Seznam receives and stores support correspondence. Support email and account-deletion requests are handled by the operator.
Apple and Google provide sign-in services. They also process information for their own account and service purposes under their respective privacy policies. They are not described here as acting solely as processors for Paw Champions.
Providers processing data on the operator's behalf are subject to applicable data-processing terms. Their authorised subprocessors may assist in delivering the services. Data may also be disclosed to competent authorities where legally required, or to professional advisers where necessary for a specific legal matter.
Personal data is not sold or rented, or shared for third-party advertising.
5. International processing
Frankfurt is the location of the primary game database, not a promise that every processing operation occurs within the European Economic Area (EEA). Providers and their subprocessors may process information outside the EEA for service delivery, security, maintenance and support.
Applicable transfer arrangements include European Commission adequacy decisions where applicable, or European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses and relevant supplementary safeguards. The mechanism depends on the recipient and transfer. Information about applicable safeguards, including how to obtain a copy, can be requested at [email protected].
Provider information: Supabase data-processing terms and subprocessor list at supabase.com/legal/customer-resources; Netlify data-processing agreement at netlify.com/pdf/netlify-dpa.pdf; Cloudflare data-processing agreement at cloudflare.com/cloudflare-customer-dpa; Seznam privacy information at o-seznam.cz/pravni-informace/ochrana-udaju/email/.
6. Retention
Account and gameplay records are kept while your account exists and the records remain necessary to provide the service, unless you request deletion sooner. Accounts are reviewed after 24 months of inactivity, and records no longer needed are deleted. This is a review threshold, not a promise that deletion occurs automatically on that date.
Ordinary support correspondence is deleted 12 months after the request is resolved. Where a particular dispute or legal obligation justifies longer retention, only the necessary records are retained for that purpose and period.
Technical logs and any provider-held recovery copies follow the relevant provider's applicable retention arrangements. They may not be removed at the same moment as an active game account. Their retention is limited to the relevant operational, security or legal purpose; account deletion is not a promise of immediate erasure from every provider system. Contact support for information about the arrangements applicable to your request.
7. Account deletion
You can initiate deletion from Profile > Delete account in the app, or contact [email protected]. You may also use the account-deletion request form on pawchampions.com. Web and email requests are handled manually, and proportionate information may be requested to verify that the request concerns your own account.
Deleting your account removes its authentication record and associated active gameplay records, including your profile, dogs, progress, virtual currency and skill points. Limited support, security or legal records may remain for the purposes and periods explained above. Deletion cannot be reversed through the game; registering again creates a new account.
For Sign in with Apple, the in-app deletion process requests authorisation to revoke the Apple sign-in connection. If a support-assisted deletion cannot revoke that connection automatically, you will receive instructions to remove Paw Champions from Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings. Deletion of your game records is not conditional on completing that separate step. This does not delete your Apple or Google account.
8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, and portability of data processed by automated means on the basis of consent or contract. You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests. If a processing activity relies on consent, that consent may be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Requests can be sent to [email protected]. Responses are provided without undue delay and normally within one month. Where permitted because of complexity or the number of requests, this can be extended by up to two further months; you will be informed within the first month of the extension and reasons. Additional information may be requested where reasonably needed to confirm identity. Requests are normally free of charge, subject to the GDPR exceptions for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests.
You may complain to a data-protection authority, including the authority where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred. In Czechia: Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz. In Slovakia: Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, dataprotection.gov.sk. You do not have to contact the operator first.
9. Minimum age
Paw Champions is intended only for users aged 16 or older. We do not knowingly permit people under 16 to maintain game accounts. By creating an account or accessing the Game through Apple or Google sign-in, users represent that they meet this minimum age under the Terms and Conditions. The app does not ask for your date of birth or routinely collect identity documents. Apple or Google sign-in is not treated as a guarantee that you meet this minimum age.
If you believe an account belongs to someone under 16, contact [email protected]. We assess credible age concerns and may suspend access while doing so. If we establish that a user is under 16, we close the account and delete associated personal data without undue delay, except for limited records we have a lawful reason to retain for the purposes and periods explained in this policy. A user may contact support if they believe the decision is mistaken. Please provide only information necessary to identify the concern.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the service or applicable requirements. The latest version and its update date will be available at pawchampions.com. Material changes affecting how your data is used will be communicated through an appropriate available channel before they take effect where required. Publishing a policy change does not itself provide consent for new processing that requires consent.
