These terms explain who may use Paw Champions, the rules for playing, and how accounts and the service are managed.
1. Operator and agreement
Paw Champions (the Game) is operated by Tomas Tichota, Pod Jarovem 2897/14, Praha 3, 130 00, Czech Republic. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator. Contact: [email protected]. Website: pawchampions.com.
By creating an account or using the Game after having an opportunity to read these terms, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Game. The Privacy Policy separately explains the processing of personal data; accepting these terms is not blanket consent to data processing.
2. Age restrictions and user representation
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the Game. By creating an account or accessing the Game through Sign in with Apple or Google, you represent that you are at least 16 years old. You must not use another person's account to bypass this requirement. If you are 16 or 17, you must also have the legal capacity required for this agreement under the law applicable to you. The minimum age does not override mandatory rules protecting minors.
The Game currently uses Apple or Google sign-in. You must be entitled to use the account you sign in with and comply with that provider's applicable terms. Signing in through Apple or Google does not mean that either provider has verified your eligibility to use Paw Champions.
If we have reasonable grounds to believe that you are under 16, we may suspend access while we assess the concern. If we establish that you are under 16, we will close your account and delete associated personal data without undue delay, except for limited records we have a lawful reason to retain as explained in the Privacy Policy. You may contact [email protected] if you believe a decision is mistaken. Account closure removes your game progress and virtual items; your mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
3. Accounts and security
Keep your sign-in account secure and contact support if you suspect unauthorised use of your game account. Do not share access in a way that compromises account security. Choose an appropriate player name and do not impersonate another person.
You are responsible for your own misuse of the Game, but these terms do not exclude our responsibility where we are legally responsible for an incident. Using the same sign-in method helps you return to the correct game account.
4. Permission to use the Game
Subject to these terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to download and play the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment on devices you own or control, subject to applicable store usage rules.
Do not use cheats, bots or exploits; interfere with the service or other accounts; obtain unauthorised access to systems or data; or buy, sell or transfer game accounts outside any expressly supported functionality. Do not copy or distribute protected game content without permission or another lawful basis.
Restrictions on reverse engineering or similar activity apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not remove rights that mandatory law grants you. Third-party components and assets remain subject to their applicable licences.
5. Free gameplay and virtual items
The current Game is free to play and contains no advertising, paid purchases or subscriptions. Paw Coins and other gameplay rewards are earned within the Game. Any purchase described within the current Game uses virtual game currency, not real money.
Virtual dogs, supplies, progress and currency are gameplay features licensed for use within the Game. They cannot be redeemed for money and do not represent ownership of real animals or physical goods. They must not be sold or exchanged outside the Game. This does not exclude mandatory rights relating to the digital service.
Gameplay rules and balance may change for reasons such as fixing errors, preventing exploits or improving the Game. Changes will be proportionate to their purpose. Material adverse changes and any discontinuation will be handled as described below and subject to applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
Rights in the Game's protected code, designs, text, branding and other content belong to the operator or their respective rights holders, to the extent those rights exist. Third-party icons, sound effects, fonts, software and other licensed materials remain subject to their own licences. These terms do not claim exclusive ownership of public-domain materials or unprotectable ideas or game mechanics.
7. Suspension and ending an account
Access may be restricted or an account suspended or terminated where reasonably necessary because of a material or repeated breach of these terms, fraud, serious abuse, unauthorised manipulation, legal requirements, or failure to meet the minimum age. The response will take account of the seriousness and circumstances of the issue.
Where appropriate, you will be told the reason and given an opportunity to resolve the issue. Immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect users or the service, comply with law or prevent ongoing abuse. You may contact [email protected] to request review of a decision.
You can stop playing at any time and request account deletion through Profile > Delete account, [email protected], or the request form on pawchampions.com. Deletion removes your active game account and its progress, including dogs and virtual balances. Data retention and Apple sign-in disconnection are explained in the Privacy Policy. An inactive account may be reviewed for deletion after 24 months as described there.
8. Availability and service changes
An internet connection and a supported device are needed for account-based gameplay. Availability may be interrupted by maintenance, faults, connectivity problems or events outside our reasonable control. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, but this does not exclude duties imposed by applicable law.
If the Game is discontinued or a change materially affects your access or progress, reasonable advance notice will be given through an appropriate available channel where practicable, unless urgent security or legal circumstances require earlier action. Any applicable statutory remedies remain available.
If real-money purchases or other monetisation are introduced in the future, the relevant information and terms will be provided before you are asked to make a payment or use the new feature. These terms do not authorise any future charge.
9. Responsibility and mandatory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any mandatory rights applicable to consumers or other protected users.
Responsibility for loss is determined under applicable law, taking account of causation, foreseeability and other legally relevant circumstances. Your statutory data-protection remedies remain unaffected.
10. Governing law and resolving concerns
Czech law governs these terms, without depriving you of any mandatory protections of the law that applies to you, including applicable consumer protections in your country of habitual residence.
Please contact [email protected] to raise a complaint or seek a resolution. This does not prevent you from contacting a competent authority or court. Court jurisdiction is determined by applicable law; any mandatory right to bring proceedings in your country of residence remains unaffected.
Where the dispute qualifies for consumer alternative dispute resolution, you may use the competent scheme. The Czech Trade Inspection Authority provides information at coi.cz. For a cross-border consumer issue, the European Consumer Centre in your country can help identify an appropriate route; see evropskyspotrebitel.gov.cz in Czechia or europskyspotrebitel.sk in Slovakia. Eligibility and jurisdiction depend on the nature of the dispute and the parties; neither authority is assigned solely by the user's nationality or residence.
11. Changes to these terms
Changes may be made for reasons such as legal requirements, security, service improvements or changes to functionality. The revised terms and update date will be published at pawchampions.com. Material changes will be notified in advance through an appropriate available channel where required, explaining when they take effect.
Changes will not remove accrued rights or retrospectively excuse a breach. Where your agreement is legally required, it will be sought; continued use alone will not replace an agreement required by law. You may stop using the Game and request deletion if you do not wish to continue under revised terms. Mandatory termination or other remedies are unaffected.
